About Us
The Humble bee Honey Company is a Father’s legacy to his Daughter. He was an avid gardener who became a beekeeper by chance. She had a free range childhood, grew up spending most of her time outdoors climbing trees, collecting insects in jars, gathering vegetables from his gardens, and watching him tend to his bees.
Her Father believed that a good day always begins and ends with dirty hands and feet. He was right!
If outdoors, you can always find him in his garden or inside his hives. He took great pride in showing off the latest seedling or bloom in his garden and of course showing of his amazing honey bees.
The Humble Bee Honey Company and it's apiaries was established in 2010. We are members of the Connecticut Farm Bureau, The Backyard Beekeeper's Association, The Eastern Apicultural Society , and The American beekeeping Federation. Are hives are registered with the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station as per Connecticut State law.
Our apiaries are designed for the health and livelihood of our honey bees , with beautiful flowering gardens, a wonderful vegetable garden, and flowing water ponds.
We support natures principles and practice a calm and peaceful, sustainable approach to beekeeping and sustainable Agriculture. No Bees, No Farms, No Foods. We believe strongly in the 4 pillars of honey bee hive management and they are , 1. Nutrition and Health, 2 Honey and Pollination, 3.
